Brixham Bowling Club was founded in 1913 and is situated on Furzeham Green overlooking Brixham harbour with outstanding views of Torbay.
The harbour a delightful fishing port is a 5 minute stroll from the clubhouse.
The club is affiliated to :- Bowls England, DCBA (Devon County Bowling Association)DCWBA.
We currently have 59 men and 43 lady playing members and 14 social members.
Our men play in the Mid Devon Bowling League 'A' Team Div 1 and 'B' team Div 3.
Our Ladies play in the Print Plus Ladies Bowls League and the Ladies 'A'are in Div 1 and Ladies 'B' are in Div 4.
We are are very competitive club at league level but we also enjoy our friendly games with local teams and touring clubs from all over the country.
New members are always made most welcome.New members get free membership for the first year and free tuition.
The social side of our club is important to us. During the season we hold a number of social events and with the addition of a new bar extension to the club in 2006 our friendly bar manager and staff will ensure your never suffering from 'thirst'.
We are proud of our reputation in the area for the playing standard of our green and this is down to the outstanding efforts of our green keeping staff and outside professional guidance.
Touring sides, visitors to the area and spectators will always be welcome. We still have room in our 2008 fixture list for touring sides. Contact Mike or Dougie for further information.
